Olympic Info:
One of Israel's most successful track and field athletes in history, Krasnov has competed in three Olympiads for his country. At the 1992 Barcelona Games, he became the first Israeli male to make the finals in an Olympic track and field event, finishing eighth in the pole vault (5.60-meters).

At the 1996 Atlanta Games, Krasnov again competed in the pole vault and advanced to the finals after finishing in seventh place in his qualifying group with a height of 5.60-meters. In the finals, Krasnov again reached 5.60-meters, which was good enough for 11th place.

At the 2000 Sydney Games, Krasnov cleared the height of 5.55 meters in the pole vault competition but did not advance to the finals. He missed his first two jumps at 5.65-meters and then did not complete his third vault within the allocated two minutes, forfeiting his turn.

Career Highlights:
In 1991, while still competing for Russia, Krasnov vaulted 5.61 meters in the Moscow Open Championships. Later that year, he emigrated to Israel, following his coach Ariel Rosenhower. Since then, he has become one of Israel's most consistent performers, winning eight national pole vault titles (1991-1995, 1997-1999), and setting nine national records between 1991-1994.

Krasnov finished ninth in the pole vault (5.70 meters) at the 1997 World Championships, and ninth at the 1999 World Championships (5.70 meters). He also won the pole vault competition at the 1997 Maccabiah Games. His personal best in the pole vault of 5.75 meters, set in 1994.
