A member of the Israeli track and field team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Semyonov competed in the pole vault. In his qualifying group, he finished in 11th place with a height of 5.40-meters (17'8-1/2") and did not advance to the finals; he officially finished in 20th place.

Career Highlights:
One of Israel's best pole vaulters in the 1990s, Semyonov has participated in many international competitions. He placed third at the 1992 European Indoor Championships while competing for the Russian National team. He emigrated to Israel in 1995 and finished eighth at the European Indoor Championships in 1996. That same year, he won his only national pole vault championship and set the Israeli national record (5.76-meters), which is still the second best in the country's history.

After competing at the 1995 World Championships, where he did not qualify for the finals, Konstantin competed in the 1997 World Indoor Championships, but did not successfully make any height. He had the same result at the European Indoor Championships the following year. His best result in 2000 was 5.60-meters. Unfortunately, injuries have plagued Semyonov's career since his emigration to Israel, but he is still one of the country's top athletes.
