Olympic Info:
A member of the Israeli sailing team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Hein finished in 14th place in the women's mistral (windsurfing) sailing competition. Following one race, American Lanee Butler filed a protest against nine other sailors, including Hein, claiming they had sailed outside of the exclusion zone that marks the course boundary. The international jury decided to disqualify Hein and one other sailor from the round, but dismissed the charges against the others.

Career Highlights:
Hein finished tenth in the mistral competition at the 2000 World Championships. She also finished tenth at the 1994, 1996, and 1997 European Championships. She has been the Israeli champion in women's mistral for nine years. At the 2002 European Championships, Hein finished fifth after leading early in the competition. As of October 1, 2002, Hein was ranked No. 35 in the world in the women's mistral; she reached No. 23 in the rankings in May, 2001.
