Dash was a member of the United States water polo team that finished 11th at the 1948 London Olympics. During the competition, the U.S. defeated Uruguay in their first game (7-0), and then tied the Belgian team, 4-4 (Belgium finished fourth). In their final match of the preliminaries, however, the U.S. lost to Sweden (7-0) and were eliminated from the competition.

Career Highlights:
Dash, who attended Northwestern University, was a member of the 1939 Illinois Athletic Club national indoor water polo champions. In 1976, he was inducted into the United States Water Polo Hall of Fame.
