Olympic Info:
A member of the U.S. fencing team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, Cohen competed in the individual and team foil events. In the team competition, Cohen and the U.S. defeated Romania and Argentina, but lost to France in the first round and did not advance to the semifinals (they officially finished out of the top six places). In the individual event, Cohen finished first in his preliminary pool, but was eliminated in the second round after winning only two matches in his pool. One of Cohen's foil teammates was Albert Axelrod.

Career Highlights:
Cohen, one of the best American fencers in the 1960s, was the NCAA foil champion in 1961 and 1962 (he attended NYU), and was named U.S. Fencer of the Year in 1962. The following year, Cohen won a gold medal in the team foil, and the bronze in the individual foil at the Pan American Games. He was the U.S. foil champion in 1964.
