After making the United States rowing team as an alternate for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics (she did not compete), Cassuto was a member of the women's quadruple sculls team at the 1988 Seoul Games. In the semifinals, the U.S. finished third in their heat (6:41.28), and did not advance to the finals. They officially finished in ninth place.

Career Highlights:
Cassuto, one of America's top female rowers in the 1980s, competed in the World Championships three times for the U.S. team. In 1985, she was a member of the double sculls team (with Susan Broome) that finished in second place; and in 1987, she finished in sixth in the single sculls competition. She also made the finals in the single sculls in 1990.
