Fish was a member of the United States rowing team at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and competed in the coxed pairs event with partners Robert Espeseth and Dan Lyons. During the competition, the U.S. team finished fifth in their semifinal heat (7:24.18)and did not advance to the finals; they officially finished 11th overall.

Career Highlights:
Fish, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (class of '84), was a member of the U.S. National Rowing Team for a decade and participated in three World Championships; in 1982, he finished sixth in the coxed pairs competition, in 1983, he finished twelfth in the same event, and in 1985, his eights team finished in second place. Fish also was a member of the gold medal eights team at the 1986 Goodwill Games and won a silver in the coxed fours at the 1991 Pan American Games. In 1993, Jon was elected to the Board of Directors of the U.S. Olympic Committee.
