Bor was the U.S. representative in the lightweight division at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics. After defeating Great Britain's Hyman Mizler in the first round in a decision, Nat then drew a bye in the second round to automatically advance to the semifinals. In the semifinal bout, Bor lost a decision to Sweden's Thore Ahlqvist, but won a decision in the third-place bout over Mario Bianchini of Italy to capture the bronze medal.

Career Highlights:
Upon his return from the Olympics, Bor relinquished his amateur status and had his first professional fight in his hometown of Fall River, Massachusetts. On October 5, 1932, he knocked Al Hope out in the first round. One year later, Bor fought in Brooklyn, New York, against Ted Ball and won in the second round when Ball took a nine count. In 1937, Bor lost a 10-round decision to Andre Jesserun in May, and then was knocked out in the sixth-round against Ralph Zannelli, a future No. 1 welterweight contender in Zannelli's hometown of Providence, Rhode Island.
