A starting forward on the Hungarian water polo team, Adam competed at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. The Hungarians lost their first game by a score of 5-4 to Austria (the Austrians scored the game-winner in the final moments of the game), and then lost to Belgium, 6-5, to officially finish fifth out of six teams. One of Adam's teammates during the Games was defenseman Tibor Fazekas.
