Kara was a member of Israel's first-ever Olympic gymnastic team, competing at the 1960 Rome Games, alongside Ruth Abeles and Ralli Ben-Yehuda.

Career Highlights:
One of Israel's top female gymnasts in the 1960s, Kara twice participated in the World Championships. In 1962, the Israelis finished 15th overall in the team competition. Kara placed 83rd overall in the individual all-around with 70.398 points. Four years later, she returned to the Championships as Israel placed 16th and Kara finished 103rd individually.
