Zaslavsky was a member of the Australian Greco-Roman wrestling team at the 1996 Atlanta Games, competing in the featherweight division (62-kg). After losing his first match to Giovanni Schillaci of Italy, Zaslavsky competed in the consolation bracket. He defeated Chamroeun Vath of Kampuchea (pinned in 0:56), but was then eliminated from the competition in his next bout by Ramil Islamov of Uzbekistan. Zaslavsky was the only member of the Australian Greco-Roman team to win a bout and officially finished in 15th place.
