Grobermann was a member of the Israeli wrestling team at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, competing in the light-flyweight division (105.5) of the Greco-Roman event. In his first bout, Grobermann was awarded the victory when Abdallah Alizani of North Yemen forfeited the match. After losing to Andrzei Glab of Poland in the second round of the competition, Grobermann was eliminated in the third round when he was defeated by Maguiafdine Allakhverdiev of the Soviet Union.
