Savransky, who was in the military before playing in the majors, was a southpaw who pitched in 16 games for the Cincinnati Reds in 1954. As a prospect for the Reds before the 1954 season, Savransky was described this way: "control ball pitcher -- has decent fastball -- good hitter for pitcher."
