Wapnick was a relief pitcher for the Detroit Tigers in 1990, and for the Chicago White Sox in 1991. He appeared in 10 games in his two-year career. Steve was considered a "can't miss" prospect and "the next great closer" for the White Sox, but never panned out in the majors.
