Foss was a second baseman in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, the women's league portrayed in the motion picture A League of Their Own, released in 1992.

Career Highlights:
According to the The Big Book of Jewish Baseball, Foss learned her husband, who was in the U.S. Navy, was killed in World War II. Within a few years, she joined the AAGPBL, where her speed allowed her to play second base. She played two seasons for the Grand Rapid Chicks and the Muskegon Lassies in the late 1940s and had a career batting average of .118.
