Matthew Lee Ford

A left-handed pitcher in the Milwaukee Brewers organization, Ford appeared in 25 games (four starts) during the 2003 season. He finished with a record of 0-3 with a 4.33 ERA (21 earned runs in 43.2 innings). Milwaukee finished the season with a record of 68-94 and in sixth place in the NL Central. Prior to the 2004 season, Ford was optioned by Milwaukee to AA Huntsville.

Career Highlights:
The southpaw first made his mark at Dundedin, Toronto�s class A franchise. His first year at the team was very poor as he was 2-7 with a 5.85 ERA in 2001. The following year was an impressive one for Ford. He went 9-5 with a Florida State League leading 2.37 ERA and stuck out 85 batters in 18 starts.

Ford was selected by the Brewers in the second round of the 2002 Rule 5 draft in order to strengthen the Milwaukee bullpen. He pitched 43.2 innings for a 4.38 ERA during the 2003 season.
