Craig Breslow was recalled by the San Diego Padres on September 1, 2005 from their AAA affiliate Portland Beavers as major league rosters expanded. The lefty hurler enjoyed a cup of coffee with the parent club earlier in the season from July 23 through August 12. During his time with the Padres he pitched 8 2/3 innings, allowing only two earned runs while striking out 10 in six appearances out of the bullpen. Craig was a 2002 graduate of Yale University.
