Fabricant, Morris

Fabricant is a member of the University of Rhode Island Athletic Hall of Fame. He played for the Rams in the 1930s.

Career Highlights:
Fabricant played basketball at the University of Rhode Island in the 1930s and helped lead the Rams to back-to-back Yankee Conference titles. In 1937, he was named second team Yankee Conference, and Rhode Island finished undefeated in conference play to win the championship (8-0). They had an overall record of 18-3 and were rated as one of the top 20 teams in the nation (there was no official poll until the late 1940s).

The following year, Fabricant was named second team All-Yankee Conference. The Rams remained one of the top teams in the East and finished the season with an overall record of 19-2. Once again, they went undefeated in conference play (8-0) and captured their second consecutive Yankee Conference championship.
