Rodin played at Columbia University in the late 1950s and was one of the Ivy League's best scorers during his college career.

Career Highlights:
Rodin was a fantastic scorer for Columbia in the late 1950s. In 1958, he finished ninth in the Ivy League in scoring with 14.3 points per game and was named All-Ivy League honorable mention, although the Lions had a terrible season with a record of 6-18 (2-12 in conference). The following season was even worse as they went 3-21 (2-12 in conference).

In his senior season (1960), Rodin was excellent even as Columbia continued to struggle, finishing 9-12 overall, but only 2-12 in conference. Rodin, however, was named second team All-Ivy League as he finished seventh in the league in scoring with 15.9 points per game.
