Career Highlights:
Press played three seasons at St. Francis College, beginning in 1952-53 when the Terriers finished the season with a record of 20-7. The following year, they went 21-4 in the regular season and advanced to the first postseason tournament in school history. In the National Invitational Tournament, St. Francis defeated Louisville, 60-55, in the first round before losing, 93-69, to Holy Cross. Press averaged 12.0 points per game in the tournament. St. Francis finished with a record of 21-8 in Press's senior year (1955), but the team did not play in the postseason.
