A first team All-Ivy League center at the University of Pennsylvania in 1987, Lefkowitz led the Quakers to the Ivy League title that season. Currently the Executive Vice President of advertising sales at Fox Cable Networks, he is the father of six-year-old quadruplets.

Lefkowitz, whose 1,443 career points is seventh all-time at Penn, has the second highest career field goal percentage in school history (58.7% -- 487-829) and holds four of the top ten season field goal percentages in school history (No. 2, 5, 6, and 10). Bruce is also No. 1 in career free throws made with 469.

Career Highlights:
In the 1980s, Lefkowitz was one of the best players on the University of Pennsylvania basketball team. In 1984, as a freshman, he led Penn in field goal percentage (56.2% -- 109-194), and the Quakers finished fourth in the Ivy League with a 7-7 conference record (10-16 overall). Lefkowitz was named Penn's Newcomer of the Year and Academic All-America.

A sophomore center in 1985, Bruce led the squad in rebounding (5.7 per game) and was once again the leading field goal shooter (58.4%). That year he was named All-Ivy League honorable mention, and Penn captured the conference championship with a 10-4 mark. In the NCAA tournament, the Quakers were seeded No. 15 in the Midwest Regional because of their 13-13 overall record and played No. 2 Memphis State in the first round. Lefkowitz scored seven points, grabbed eight rebounds, and added three assists, but Penn lost the game, 67-55. In 1985, Lefkowitz also played on the U.S. basketball team that won the silver medal at the Maccabiah Games.

In 1986, Lefkowitz was named second team All-Ivy League and enjoyed another terrific season. Bruce led the team in scoring (14.2 points per game), rebounding (7.8), and field goal percentage (58.7%). Penn finished with a 15-11 overall record, tied for second place in the conference with a 9-5 mark. They finished one game behind Brown, which captured its only conference championship that year under head coach Mike Cingiser, a former All-Ivy player in the 1960s.

In 1987, Lefkowitz's senior season, he had the best year of his college career. During a late-season game against Brown, Lefkowitz showed his all-conference form when he scored 31 points and grabbed 20 rebounds. For the second straight season, Bruce led the team in scoring, rebounding (8.9 per game), and field goal percentage (60.6% -- second best in school history and 11th best in the nation!) Lefkowitz was the conference's fifth leading scorer with a 20.6 points per game average. He was named first team All-Ivy League and Penn's co-MVP with Perry Bromwell.

During the 1987 season, Penn captured its second conference title in three years. Finishing with an overall mark of 13-14, they won the Ivy League with a 10-4 conference record. The Quakers returned to the NCAA tournament as the No. 16 seed in the East and faced No. 1 North Carolina. Lefkowitz scored a team-high 20 points and added eight rebounds against the Tar Heels, but the Quakers went down to defeat by a margin of 113-82.

Lefkowitz finished his career at Penn as one of the best players in school history. He is in the top ten in career points (seventh), career field goal percentage (second), career free throws made (first), field goal percentage in one season, free throws made in one season, and free throws attempted in one season.
