Sidney Amira

Amira was a three-year starter at the University of Pennsylvania in the early 1960s. A fine player, Sid was named second team All-Ivy League in 1963.

Career Highlights:
In 1961, as a sophomore, Amira was named All-Ivy League honorable mention. That season, Pennsylvania finished in second place in the conference with a 10-4 record (they were 16-9 overall). The following year, the Quakers finished in second place again, with an 11-3 conference mark (17-8 overall). In 1963, Sid was named second team All-Ivy League and Penn finished third in the league (10-4, 19-6 overall).
