Hershkowitz, Marvin

Hershkowitz played at Yeshiva University in the early 1950s, finishing his career in 1953 as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,095 points. Through the 2003 season, Marvin's record remains the 18th highest in school history. Hershkowitz made Aliyah to Israel in 1977.

Career Highlights:
Hershkowitz first attended CCNY (City College of New York) and played on their freshman team. The following year, he transferred to Yeshiva University and became one of the greatest players in school history. In 1951, Yeshiva finished with a 5-10 mark, but Hershkowitz set a number of school records, including scoring average, with 17.7 points per game. Later in his career, he scored 41 points in one game. Hershkowitz finished his career at Yeshiva as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,095 points. He later became an assistant coach to Yeshiva head coach, Red Sarachek.
