Samuel Liebowitz

Liebowitz played at the University of Oregon in the mid-1930s, and was one of the top scorers in the PCC (Pacific Coast Conference).

Career Highlights:
Liebowitz was among the top scorers in the PCC (the predecessor to the Pac 10) during his two varsity seasons with Oregon. In 1935, the Ducks finished third in the PCC Northern Division with a 7-9 conference record (8-9 overall). Liebowitz finished the season as the tenth-leading scorer in the division with a 5.8 points per game average (86 points in 16 games).

The following year, Liebowitz was joined on the Oregon team by sophomore forward Dave Silver. Oregon finished with an overall record of 20-11 (7-9, fourth in conference). Liebowitz scored 107 points in conference play for a 6.7 points per game average, eighth in the Northern Division.
