Epstein, Michal

Michal, a free scoring guard, was the star of the Providence College team going into her junior year, when she transferred unexpectedly to Boston University. She was forced to sit out the 2003-04 season, but will be back next year. She is a very physical player with an ability to shoot well from all areas of the court.

Career Highlights:
Michal had an amazing run with her high-school team Kiryat-Sharet Holon, helping them win the 1998-99 season national championship title. The following year, her squad captured the international high school championship. Epstein went on to attend Providence College and did well in her freshman season, scoring 8.2 points per game while leading the team with 2.3 assists per game.

As a sophomore in 2001, Epstein averaged 14.3 points per game, dished out 2.6 assists and snatched 3.3 rebounds per game. However, her greatest contribution was her superior defense. Despite her solid performance level Providence finished 9-18 overall. Epstein is also a starter for the Israeli national team, where she sometimes plays as a forward.
