Career Highlights:
Amir was a three-time varsity letterman at Taft High in his hometown of Woodland Hills. He was selected all-city and all-league in two consecutive years. During his senior year, he averaged 22.5 points and nine rebounds per game.

Amir averaged 4.4 points per game for Fullerton State during the 2002-03 season with 61% field goal average while taking down 4.4 rebounds. Bar-Netzer started the season as a reserve but quickly worked his way into the starting five. His solid defense was a highlight in an otherwise mediocre season for Fullerton, which finished with a record of 10-19.
