Career Highlights:
Wishnewitz played at CCNY for basketball great Nat Holman in the early 1930s. After a 12-4 season in 1931, the Beavers had an outstanding team the following year as they outscored their opponents 573-327 and had a record of 16-1; their only loss was to Temple, 33-29. In his final season at CCNY, the Beavers finished 13-1, with their only loss to St. John's 31-28. The 1932 and 1933 teams were among the best in the country, although there were no official polls until the late 1940s.
