Career Highlights:
Trupin played at CCNY for three seasons under the legendary Nat Holman. As a sophomore in 1929, he stepped into the starting line-up as a forward. That season, the Beavers finished with a record of 9-5. In the season finale, Milt scored six points in a 40-24 loss to rival NYU (New York University).

The following year, Trupin's junior season, he stepped up his play and helped City College finish with a record of 10-3 (their three losses were by a combined eight points). An excellent offensive player, he scored a team-high nine points in a 36-22 win over Duquesne. Named second team All-Metropolitan, Trupin could not stop City from losing to NYU for the second consecutive year in the annual season finale (he scored four points in the 37-33 loss).

Trupin's senior season of 1931 proved to be his finest. Joined on the squad by sophomore guard Moe Spahn, Trupin led the Beavers to a 12-4 record, including a 29-24 win over NYU in the season finale. Trupin, in his final collegiate game, proved himself a star as he scored a team-high 10 points, and, according to newspaper reports, was the "main factor in the [City] attack."

Following the season, Trupin was named first team All-Metropolitan. The New York Evening Post (March 4, 1931) declared, "...with better support, Milt Trupin would be one of the outstanding men playing the game in college ranks this year. [CCNY coach Nat] Holman gave Trupin the credit for most of the success of CCNY's team this year and declared 'Trupin, a fine offensive man...carried us along all season.'"
