Zodda fought as a lightweight in the 1930s and early 1940s and faced some of the greatest boxers of his era, including Tony Canzoneri, Benny Bass, and Ike Williams.

Career Highlights:
Zodda began his career as a lightweight in the early 1930s and was knocked out in the fifth round by Ray Meyers in October 1932. He fought three more times that year and knocked out all three opponents by the fourth-round. After defeating Davey Devlin (second-round knockout) and losing to Pedro Montanez (knocked out in first-round), Zodda then faced the great Tony Canzoneri in April 1936 and was knocked out in the seventh-round. That year, Zodda was also knocked out by former bantamweight contender Bushy Graham (second round) and former junior-lightweight champion Benny Bass (first round). He defeated Hall of Famer Ike Williams in March 1941, but was knocked out by Lew Jenkins and Tippy Larkin later in the year and soon retired.
