Meyer Harris Cohen

A bantamweight and featherweight in the 1930s (his exact career dates are unknown), Cohen became a notorious crime figure in the Los Angeles mob scene after his boxing career.

b. 1913 - d. 1976

Career Highlights:
During his boxing career, Cohen fought future world featherweight champion Baby Arizmendi in May 1933 and was knocked out in the third round. Two years later, Cohen fought future welterweight champ Freddie Cochrane and was knocked out in the second round. An excellent fighter, he ended his career with an impressive 60 victories (25 by knockout) against only 16 losses.
