Career Highlights:
Goodman began his professional career as a featherweight in 1899 and became a contender by the mid-1900s. After losing to world bantamweight champion Harry Forbes in a non-title fight in 1902, he defeated contender Billy Finucane in 1904. The following year was a big one for Goodman as he faced champ Abe Attell in February 1905 for the world featherweight title. The bout ended in a 15-round draw, and Attell retained the title. Later in the year, Goodman fought former featherweight champion Young Corbett II in a bout which also ended in a 15-round draw. Goodman retired in 1908 with 55 career wins.
