Arno was a Newark fighter in the 1920s and 1930s who fought junior welterweight Harry Carlton in 1928 in Jersey City and lost a ten-round decision.

Career Highlights:
A lightweight from Newark, Arno began his professional boxing career in the late 1920s. In 1928, he fought Phil Zwick in Akron, Ohio and lost an eight-round decision. He then returned East and spent the rest of his career in the Newark area. In 1929, he fought fellow Newark resident Benny Levine twice (they each won once) and Buster Brown, a former world featherweight contender (Arno lost a decision). Over the next two years, Arno fought a number of bouts, but never against top competition. According to incomplete records, he retired in the early 1930s.
