Levine, a middleweight in the 1930s who fought out of Newark, New Jersey, is a member of the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame.

Birth and Death Dates:
b. December 21, 1911

Career Highlights:
In March 1935, he was knocked out in the second round by future world champion Eddie "Babe" Risko; Risko would win the title six months after his bout with Benny. The following month, Levine took on contender Paul Pirrone in Cleveland (Pirrone's hometown) and was knocked out in the first round. In October 1937, Levine knocked out Alfredo Gaona in the second round in New York City.
