Career Highlights:
A French middleweight, Bellaiche began his professional career in 1971, and fought former European junior middleweight champ Jose Duran in October 1975, only four months after Duran lost his title. The bout, which took place in Duran's hometown of Madrid, Spain, ended in an eight-round draw. Three months later, on January 30, 1976, Bellaiche and Duran had a rematch in Barcelona and again, the bout ended in an eight-round draw (Duran would win the world title later in the year). Ten days later, Jules fought Miguel Angel Castellini in Paris and was knocked out in the sixth round (Castellini would win the title from Duran in October 1976). In March 1976, Bellaiche fought Gratien Tonna for the French middleweight championship, but was knocked out in the sixth round. Bellaiche retired the following year.
