Career Highlights:
A former Golden Gloves and collegiate champion, Aurit turned professional as a lightweight in 1977. Fighting exclusively in Philadelphia that year, the "Yid Kid" knocked out Joey Wilder in the fourth round, Billy Johnson in the first round, and then defeated Larry Huffin twice in four-round decisions. In 1979, Aurit also fought in Atlantic City and knocked out Robert Stevenson in the sixth round and Ken Loma in the second round before getting knocked out in the sixth round by Michael Ross in November 1979. Aurit fought two more years before retiring, winning all his fights in 1980, but getting knocked out in the seventh round by Johnny Verderosa in April 1981.
