Career Highlights:
One of three boxing brothers from Brooklyn, Silvers fought fellow Jewish boxer Harry Felix in August 1924 and lost a six-round decision. The following year, Silvers fought former NBA world super featherweight champion Mike Ballerino in a six-round bout that ended in a draw.

Silvers continued to box professionally in the 1920s into the early 1930s. In April 1933, he fought another future world champion, Izzy Jannazzo (the NBA welterweight champ in the early 1940s). The bout went the full four-rounds and ended in a draw.
