Career Highlights:
Born in the Bronx, Tischler spent his professional boxing career in the New York Metropolitan area. A lightweight, he was knocked out in the second-round by Jimmy DiMauro in February 1937. Two years later, he knocked out Russell Sawyer in the second-round. In July 1941, he knocked out Kenny Blackmar in the fourth-round of their bout in Long Beach (located on Long Island).
