Career Highlights:
Clinton began his professional career in 1918 as a lightweight, and fought the immortal champion Benny Leonard in a non-title bout the following year; the fight ended in a 10-round no decision. In 1922, he faced Leonard again, but this time he lost a 10-round decision. Clinton fought one more good fighter during his career, losing a 12-round decision to Joe Dundee in June 1924. Clinton retired later that year.
