Alexander W. Klein

Klein was a center for Ohio State University in the 1920s, and was named second team All-Western Conference in 1926.

Career Highlights:
Klein played center for Ohio State for three seasons in the 1920s. In 1925, the Buckeyes had a record of 4-3-1. The following year, Klein was New York Times All-America honorable mention, and AP All-Western Conference second team and the Buckeyes finished the year 7-1-0. Ohio State had a record of 6-0 entering the Michigan game, which is still mentioned as one of the most exciting games ever played in Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes lost, 17-16, to the Wolverines in front of a crowd originally announced as 90,437. Fans broke down gates to the stadium, allowing thousands inside without tickets.
