Milton L. Kobrosky

An All-American selection in 1935 and 1936, Kobrosky played three seasons at Trinity College and led the team to a combined 19-2 record during his career. He scored 29 touchdowns in his three-year collegiate career and later played one season in the NFL. Kobrosky was also a member of the Trinity baseball team.

Career Highlights:
A back at tiny Trinity College (Connecticut) in the 1930s, Kobrosky is considered one of the greatest players in the history of the school. After leading the team to an undefeated season in 1934 in which he scored 12 touchdowns (fourth most in the East), Milt captained the team in 1935 and 1936. In 1935, he was named AP Little All-America first team, and AP All-East honorable mention as he scored six touchdowns and kicked eight extra points for a total of 44 points.. In 1936, Kobrosky rushed for 755 yards, scored 74 points via 11 touchdowns and eight extra points (third most points in the East), and was named AP Little All-American first team, Grantland Rice and Stanley Woodward All-America honorable mention. That year, he scored five touchdowns in a 60-0 victory over Norwich.
Kobrosky finished his career with 1,861 rushing yards (sixth in school history) and 1,000 passing yards. He also scored 200 career points (third all-time in school history) and finished with 29 touchdowns (third all-time). A prolific passer, he threw 12 touchdowns in his career and his 41 total touchdowns (12 passed and 29 scored) is still the second highest in school history.
After graduating in 1937, Kobrosky was selected in the fifth round (44th overall) by the New York Giants in the NFL Draft. That season (his only in the NFL), Milt played sparingly in seven games for the Giants who finished the season 6-3-2, second in the NFL East.

Kobrosky played halfback at Trinity College from 1934-1936. He then played quarterback and defensive back in the NFL with the New York Giants in 1937.
