Victor Harry Frank

The son of Victor Frank Sr., Victor Jr. was an excellent guard for Yale in the late-1940s. He was also a world-class discus thrower and competed in the 1948 Olympics.

Ranked in the top ten in the world in the discus throw between 1948-1951, Frank won the Ivy League discus championship from 1948-50, setting the meet record in 1949 with a throw of 177'11 1/4". He held the record until 1979.

In 1947, Frank was named AP All-Ivy League second team and Yale had a record of 6-3-0. In 1948, Yale posted a record of 4-5-0 and Vic was named AP All-Ivy League honorable mention. In 1949, Frank's last season, Yale finished with a record of 4-4-0.
