Robert Allen Friedman

Friedman was an offensive lineman at the University of Washington and played one season in the NFL.

Career Highlights:
Buck played three seasons on the offensive line at the University of Washington. In 1940, the Huskies, with a record of 7-2-0, finished the season ranked No. 10 in the polls. The following year, they finished 5-4-0. In 1942, Friedman's senior season, the Huskies finished 4-3-3. In 1943, Buck played in the East-West Shrine Game.

After Friedman graduated in 1943, he was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 18th round (162nd overall) in the NFL Draft. In 1944, he played in all 10 games for the Eagles, who had a record of 7-1-2 and finished second in the NFL East; it was Friedman's only season in the NFL. Two of Buck's teammates on the Eagles were fellow rookie Mel Bleeker (who led the league in receiving average) and future New York Giants head coach Allie Sherman.

Career Dates:
Friedman played tackle at the University of Washington from 1940-1942. He then played as a tackle in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1944.
