Irving Mondschein

After playing football and running track at NYU, Mondschein competed at the 1948 Olympics, finishing eighth in the decathlon. He then coached the Olympic Israeli track and field team in the 1952 Games, and the United States at the 1988 Games. For more information on Mondschein's Olympic career, click here.

Mondschein was an All-East end while at NYU and played with a College All-Star team against the New York Giants. He is a member of the Philadelphia Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (in Commack, New York), and the NYU Athletic Hall of Fame.
