A three sport star at Alabama (football, basketball, and baseball), Cohen quit school his senior year to play professional baseball. He played three seasons with the New York Giants and appeared in 262 career games.

Career Highlights:
Before playing professional baseball, Cohen played as a back at Alabama in the early 1920s. In 1923, the Crimson Tide had a record of 7-2-1. The following year, they had a record of 8-1-0 and were the Southern Conference champions, outscoring their opponents 294-24.
