Career Highlights:
A guard, Speidel played three seasons at the Washington State College (now the University of Washington State) in the 1920s. His first season, the Cougars finished 6-1-0 (4-1-0 in the West Coast Conference); their only loss was to Southern California by a score of 16-7. The following season, the Cougars finished 3-3-1 (1-3-1), while in 1928, they finished 7-3-0 (4-3-0). That season, Speidel was named Jewish All-America at guard and to the first team All-Opponents squad by USC at tackle.
