Lobel, Blake

A senior defensive lineman at San Diego State, Lobel had the best season of his career in 2004. Named the Aztecs' Most Improved Defensive Player, Lobel played in all 10 games and finished sixth on the team with 41 tackles (24 solo and 17 assisted). He led the team with 10.5 tackles-for-loss, and was second on the team with five sacks; he also registered one interception, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble. San Diego State finished the season with a record of 4-7 (2-5 in conference).

Career Highlights:
An all-conference performer while in high school, Lobel redshirted his freshman year at San Diego State in 2000. The following year, he saw limited action and registered three tackles as the Aztecs finished 3-8. In 2002, Lobel played in 12 of the team's 13 games and registered a career-high 34 tackles, including one sack. San Diego State finished the season with a record 4-9. Then, in 2003, Lobel played in nine games after hurting his knee early in the year and finished with 17 tackles as the Aztecs went 6-6.
