John Hawley Taussig

Taussig, an All-America while at Cornell, was the son of Rear Admiral Edward Taussig, who claimed Wake Island for the U.S. in 1899.

John's brothers Charles Taussig and Joseph Taussig also played college football.

b. 1876- d. March 2, 1925

Career Highlights:
Taussig was named to Harper's Weekly All-American honorable mention from 1894-1896 while playing for Cornell University. The Harper's All-America team was the only one in existence at the time.
