Laszlo, 'Pete'

Laszlo, a member of the Palestine Maccabees in the 1920s (now called Maccabi Tel Aviv), toured the United States with his club in 1927. After the tour, he remained in the U.S. and played for a number of years in the American Soccer League.

Career Highlights:
Laszlo's career in the U.S. spanned two seasons, in which he appeared in 45 games and scored six goals. He first suited up for the Brooklyn Wanderers (owned by Nat Agar) in 1928-29 and scored three goals in eight games before moving to Providence before the end of the season. The following year, he appeared in 17 games for the Brooklyn Hakoah, but did not score a goal. In the middle of the season, the ASL ceased play because it merged with its rival league, the Eastern Soccer League. When the new league started up, Laszlo was with Brooklyn again and scored one goal in 17 games for the Wanderers.
