Career Highlights:
Borba was a member of the Israeli soccer team that reached the quarterfinals and finished fifth at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. A forward, he played (and started) in all three preliminary games for Israel; in their group, they defeated Ghana, 5-3 and El Salvador, 3-1 before falling to Hungary, 2-0. Israel finished in second place in the group to advance to the quarterfinals; George did not play in the quarterfinal match where Israel tied Bulgaria, 1-1. To determine which team advanced to the semifinals, there was a coin toss, which the Bulgarians won, and Bulgaria eventually captured the silver medal.

George competed in the 1974 World Cup qualifying tournament and scored a goal in Israel's 6-0 victory over Malaysia. Borba also scored twice in Israel's 7-0 win over Ceylon in the 1968 Olympic qualifying tournament; the victory qualified Israel for the Games.
