Avraham Cohen

Cohen played for the Israeli National team from 1976-1988. He appeared in 51 international games, and scored three goals.

Career Highlights:
At the age of 20, Cohen played for Israel at the 1976 Olympics and helped them reach the quarterfinals to finish fifth. A member of Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Israel League, Cohen moved to Liverpool in England's First Division in 1979 and played two seasons as a backup for the Reds. Avi's contract with the English club was cancelled following the 1981 season and he returned to Israel. Cohen later played with Rangers in the Scottish League and spent time with Sheffield United, Huddersfield Town, and Port Elizabeth (in South Africa)
